For our business partners such as finance companies and motor dealers, we collect personal information about you when you give this to us in the course of you and/or your business agreeing to use our service. The information we may require will include your full name, your business address and business telephone number, your business mobile telephone number and business e-mail address.

Who do we share your personal information with?
Vehicle Finance Companies – For the provider of vehicle finance to assess your suitability to enter into a finance agreement for the provision of finance to purchase or contract hire a motor vehicle. The finance company will also use the personal data provided to carry out a credit search of you to help them to assess your suitability to enter into a finance agreement.
Motor Vehicle Dealer – When they have found a vehicle which suits your requirements.
Vehicle delivery companies should you require your new vehicle to be delivered to you.
The Financial Conduct Authority and/or other regulatory governing bodies for the purpose of compliance monitoring.
The DVLA – Certain finance companies may insist on seeing sight your driving licence or verifying your licence details using the DVLA “MyLicence” service in order to determine the status of your licence entitlement to drive the vehicle being purchased on credit. These driving licence searches will be made just prior to the delivery of your vehicle. These searches will not show on your driving record.
Your personal data rights and choices
You have certain rights under data protection legislation including the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You can request this in writing to the address at the beginning of this document.
From May 2018 you will have the following rights:-
Right to access – the right to request copies of your personal data from us.
Right to correct – The right to have your personal information rectified if it is inaccurate on incomplete.
Right to erase – the right to request that we delete or remove your personal data from our systems. The exception to this will be any data that is required to fulfil our obligation to keep complete accounting records as required by HMRC.

How long do we keep your personal information?
We keep your personal information that is necessary to keep complete accounting records as required by HMRC for a period of seven years. We keep personal information about you which is relevant to your finance application for a period of three years for compliance and finance company audit purposes. If you do not end up taking out a finance agreement through ourselves there will be no need to keep your records for seven years and your personal data will be destroyed after three years.
